does anyone think a neutral brown would match a drk sun yellow ceiling?
Yellows and browns are not good together. They clash! The dark yellow is airy yet relaxing- whille the brown keeps far away from that deffinition. The truth that you havent been told is simply that neutrals ACTUALLY don't always go to together with EVERYTHING. You may have thought that the brown would have simply evened out the tones, but as you look at the colors combined, especially if used in a yellow, neutral brown, yellow, neutral brown pattern- with clash and not be inviting or pleasent what so ever. I suggest, if using the brown for acsents or ceilings, to go with very light, subtle shades. Since you are using the yellow as a celing color, the as you walk into the room, the blah brown color and the bright yellow will litteratly make you want to look up at it. Of course, with colors that different, even if you had yellow walls and a brown ceiling- the brown would still draw your eye up because it is lighter and more natural then the yellow. If you want to balance it out, try a chandelier ect. placed in the middle of the room- on the celing. Paintings and selves- but not cluttered up on the walls, will also make the colors a little bit more evened out. I still suggest going with different colors though, it's a lot simpler and better matching then brights and bohos. Hope it works out for ya.
