Why do so many humans think skin color determines behavior ?
Most people that feel this way tend to use statistics to validate their views. I doubt you would find many human being willing to accept negative statistics about themselves based on how light or dark their skin. Skin color is the result of genetics and heiredity - If I said the shape of our heads, the color of our eyes, or hair dictates behavior most people would think me insane. I am not some hippie "Love the World" type of guy...I just know my light or dark skin does not dictate the good or bad choices I make in life.
ignorance is no escape clause for deep seated prejudism, no in fact most people are NOT ignorant, they merely like the status quo, to the effect that they choose to surround themselves with people who think like them, and that's theway they like it, their minds for the most part are set, they know truth, but would rather not change for fear of alienation among their peers. tha'ts why it's easier to change a young person's view point through education as they are more willing to accept the truths, it also works on the other side of the debate, as those in the other side of the fence, so to speak, view the rest with the same sort of disdain as they are viewed as, and that's the irony that make prejudcism hard to eradicate. you dimply cannot suggest that the other side might be doing something wrong without being label a racists. thats why i love Carlos Mencia's comedy, he rips on the weakness of every race.
