What could happen if i wore a non surgical steel belly ring?
what about titanium? or what if its not steel or titanium
It depends on what the ring you put in is made of. Titanium and niobium are higher quality than surgical steel because there's less nickel in them and they're physically lighter. This is pretty important if you're sensitive to nickel (like I am). Plated jewelry isn't great because the plating can rub off, exposing whatever metal is beneath it. Acrylic jewelry sucks because it's porous, so if it's not completely clean there's a small chance it can cause infection.
Go surgical steel or titanium.
