Am I getting ripped off for a seat repair for a 2002 camaro?
I have a large rip in my driver seat and significant wear on my passanger seat. It is all leather and partially perforated. I took it to the dealer and an upholstery shop and neither said they could fix it. the upholstery shop is going to charge me $1500 for a leather kit to fix it. I have never had to have seats fixed before so i dont know if its a good price or not. Where i live they have no competition so they could charge how much they want. All I know is its $500 cheaper than the dealer can give it to me but they always have everything overpriced. I am i getting a decent price for it or is there a better place to go in west Texas or around Dallas?
I've had full leather interiors put in new vehicles for about $1,100. The price is not that bad if they are going to replace all of the seat covers for that. Plus it depends on if you are just wanting nice seats or if you are restoring it. If restoring, I would go with the factory equip.
