The things you mention are not witchcraft. People don't turn into Mermaids or such.
People who call themselves witches these days generally..and i do not claim to speak for all.. don't identify too much with the terms 'white' and 'black' magic. It strikes me that you might have a slightly unrealistic view of what witchcraft actually is.
witchcraft is much more than just a bunch of 'spells' or whatever you would call it.
As for black and white magic, this is too simplistic. Intent, whether to change, harm, or heal..or indeed any of a myriad of other intentions, is what 'colors' the workings of a witch.
